Project ‘Fight against Malaria Shibinga - West Kenya' (2009-2011)
Goal:
Invest a minimum to effectively and permanently eradicate malaria in the Shibinga region of West Kenya and thus reduce childhood death by 100% and cases of the disease by more than 95%.
Asia Action Ameland 2003/2006
This action is an initiative of the Co-operating Foundations for development
work on the island of Ameland: The foundation Health & Happiness and
the foundation Development Work Theo Kiewiet. These initiative takers
want to realise this project through buiding 25 schools, 63 toilets and
10 bio-gas plants. The execution continues up to september 2006. In the
following report you can read how successful the fundraising activities
have been and how the income and expenditures are planned.

between Begnas lake and Rupa lake.

Cow project Kenya 2003
The parish Caritas of the St Clemens church of Ameland has for the work
of the Foundation Development Work Theo Kiewiet brought forward a donation
for the cow-project in Kenya.
Also the Primary Leeuwerikschool in Uden has given a donation for one
cow.

Irrigation project Munganga Kenya 2006
Goal: Self-sufficiency for the people of Munganga through the digging
of water-wells and purchase of irrigation pumps, to make efficient irrigation
possible during (long) dry seasons, and being able to grow sufficient
food, at least for own use, with stimulation for local market production.

Rabies was spread in the area of Lekhnath when a street dog was infected
and transferred to other animals. It became known when it was transferred
to many animals in the area as result few animals were died and few people
were forced to take anti rabies injections when they were beaten by dogs
and their own buffaloes.

Water-well project Bulechia Kenya 2005 Cordaid
At Easter 2005 there has been a collection of 1200 euro in the Saint Clemens
Church on Ameland for water-wells in Bulechia, Kenya. With this action
aid the water-well project in Kenya could be financed through the Foundation
‘Development-work Theo Kiewiet’. Vastenactie, part of NGO
Cordaid will improve the aid up to 2000 euro. The agreement of the water-well
project has been realized through the Front Desk of Cordaid.
